The Sonic movie was originally supposed to be distributed by Sony Pictures and was scheduled for a 2018 release date. However, after Passengers became a box office flop, producer Neal H. Moritz quit Sony Pictures in favor of Paramount, taking the film rights to Sonic with him. A big fight occurred with Neal H. Moritz and Tom Rothman over Passengers. The latter wanted to slash the budget and telling the former that Passengers didn't sell well, Neal threatened the latter on selling Passengers to another studio. After Passengers became a box office flop, another big fight between Moritz and Rothman occurred, causing the former to quit Sony Pictures in favor of Paramount, taking the film rights to Sonic with him.

During the first teasers, Sonic's original movie design received massive backlash from critics, audiences, as well as the Sonic fanbase and even his own creator, especially on social media, due to his extremely unsettling and unappealing look with his disturbingly realistic eyes and human-like teeth, resulted to redesign Sonic into cuter and bit faithful look before the Paramount version was released in 2020. And we need a more realistic version of sonic now I never got to see that in the theater.The actual movie but only trailer As well as also got to see it in chip And Dale rescue rangers Movie That is the original sonic design.The known as Ugly Sonic Because It got back lash my fans Heavily because They want sonic to be more faithful to the video games.Not something that's fairly bad and Ugly and they didn't even bother recasting recasting with Sadie Sink as Ariel After the back lush of Halle Bailey as Ariel As well as its racist And they didn't even care about The Little Mermaid original fans Sonic, on the other hand they have to redesign sonic to be more faithful to cartoons and video games of sonic, they had to resign Sonic and they were praised with the redesign.That's great.  Add sega please Partnering up with Sony After the contract with Paramount comes an end. And please make a reboot sonic movie. Hollywood will always make reboots and and sometimes they end the movie with the third movie and sometimes they can end up with the fourth movie and it depends on the movie like for endings.They will be rebooting it for sure.
