In 1984, Alex Trebek became the host of Jeopardy!, a trivia game show that had been syndicated throughout North America since 1964. While nobody can replace his legendary tenure of 35 years, Alex Trebek has already made plans for his final show as you can read in this CNN article. While we want nothing more for Alex Trebek to keep fighting & beat cancer and to continue hosting the show, it seems like he is ready to step down which opens up the opportunity for a new person to come in as the new host of Jeopardy!.

It seems like Jeff Goldblum would be a perfect choice as the new host. With his recent stint as a Clue Crew seen in this video, Jeff is the perfect man to take the podium after Alex Trebek. Not only will he add gravitas to the hosting duties, I think he's hysterical and amazing and will definitely add quirkiness as he gives out the answers before the contestants answer in a form of a question. (As a side note, I wouldn't mind having a Jeff Goldblum category at least once a week on the show!)
