luca guadagnino, an award winning director announced just last month that there will be a sequel to the oscar-buzzed movie call me by your name ( which was released to the public back in 2017-18 ). it was the best news that we've heard in months. he also informed us that the original movie was supposedly four hours long but was cut down to just over two hours, meaning we could have seen another two hours of adorable elio and oliver content. i know many people that thoroughly enjoyed this movie and can't get enough of the beautiful relationship elio and oliver developed through that summer in italy 1983 and are dying to know just what didn't make the cut. for most movies the watchers receive some sort of extra content in addition to the movie itself, for example behind the scenes or directors cut. but we received nothing for call me by your name! coronavirus was a huge set back for the filming and producing of call me by your name 2 and the fans are being as patient as possible. i have started this petition in hope that luca himself will see or notice this and consider releasing the extended cut of call me by your name, and i'd hope you'd help me, and the hundreds of thousands of call me by your name fans that can't wait for the sequel, out by signing it!
