Sony has long held a monoply on the excellent Aventure tale known as Uncharted which was first released on the PS3, this was also true for Uncharted 2, but afterwards they focused solely on their own console leaving a number of fans behind. With the new Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection coming out in a few short months it will allow long time fans of the series to see Nathan Drake remastered while also letting newcomers experience the glorious saga that is Uncharted. However this will only be released the Playstation 4 which neglects other fans of the series like those on PC or who have switched to another system.

 Uncharted's status as an exclusive is well known and it would be almost unimaginable to have it played anywhere else but allowing allowing Uncharted to go multiplatform would only prove financially beneficial for Sony as they would be able to reach a wider audience who would be interested in the Naughty Dog universe.

 A multiplatform The Nathan Drake Collection would do exactly what it is intended to do and would bring in many fans to the series which results in more sales for Sony who would remain as publisher. An example of this is the formerly exclusive Mass Effect franchise, when it became available for PS3 it resulted in an incresed amount of fans and a lot more sales for EA. Sony's long term plans to capitalize on Naughty Dog's franchise should include going multiplatform which would increase profitability of the franchise itself.
