Sonja Hood must be removed immediately as President of the North Melbourne Football Club.

North Melbourne members have been patient long enough. After years of historically poor results, wooden spoons and promises of a brighter future, supporters deserve accountability from the very top.

The decision to sack Alastair Clarkson after a year of significant improvement should be the final straw.

After years at the bottom, we were finally seeing genuine progress. The team was becoming more competitive, our young players were developing and supporters could finally see a path forward.

Then, just as that improvement was becoming evident, Clarkson was sacked.

How can members continually be told to “trust the process” when the club itself won’t stay the course once progress finally arrives?

As President, Sonja Hood is ultimately accountable for the direction and major decisions of this football club.

The buck stops with the President.

This isn’t personal. It’s about accountability.

North Melbourne is bigger than any individual. Members deserve strong, decisive leadership and a clear direction.

We have lost confidence in Sonja Hood’s ability to provide that leadership.

We call on the North Melbourne Board to remove Sonja Hood as President immediately and begin a new chapter for our football club.

The members have been patient long enough.

North Melbourne deserves better. Sonja Hood must go.
