Teenagers & adults are working on roller skates to bring food delivered to cars at Sonic! Most are kind and do a great job. They are paid below minimum wage and survive on tips. Sonic’s new menu screens “prompt” you to pay by card and have card readers. Over 80% of the economy today pays by debit/credit card over cash. There is NO room to tip these servers if you don’t use cash only! Sonic needs to add a “tip option” to their screen to click yes- (10%, 15% etc)! I figured this out by getting an order today and asked how to tip. She said there was no way to tip on card. What?  I then asked her how much she had made in tips that day, she said EVERY transaction she had delivered that day had been paid for BY debit card and her total tips for the day were $2! Because nobody can tip by card. This is not the buyers fault, Sonic isn’t providing a way to tip!  This is WRONG, Sonic! Pay them over $4.25 an hour OR update your systems to let us tip them on our cards! Sign this if you agree!
