Derek Abbott sent me the exciting news less than 12 hours ago that Somerton Man has been identified using genetic genealogy (as I predicted!). He was Carl "Charles" Webb, which as far as I can recall, was not one of the many speculated identities.

More questions to be answered, for sure, but now we know who he was. Rest in peace, Charles.
