The Issue

This petition is a solidarity action with the Awami Action Committee (AAC) of Gilgit Baltistan and the Revolutionary Communist Party. These organizations have dedicated themselves to the fight for better living standards, tirelessly working to organize struggle. That is their only crime.

The recent arrest of political activists from these organizations, including placing Eshan Ali Advocate’s name on the Fourth Schedule terrorist list, is a political attack on the entire working class. These individuals are not terrorists; instead, they represent the voice of the oppressed, fighting for a brighter future for their communities and for the international working class.

The people of Gilgit Baltistan, have been fervently fighting against economic injustices, demanding basic needs and rights. Their leaders, however, have been unjustly targeted, silenced, and imprisoned, merely for standing up against tyranny, oppression and the barbaric plunder by the capitalist regimes of both India and Pakistan of the Gilgit-Baltistan region.

The "Fourth Schedule" designation has devastating implications, designed to repress dissenting voices by categorizing social activists and leaders as enemies of the state. It is aimed at stifling legitimate political organization and activism.

We must lend our voices to those who have been silenced. Their fight is not just a fight for their rights but represents a universal struggle against this barbaric system everywhere. We cannot turn a blind eye to the injustices faced by our comrades in Gilgit Baltistan.

This petition calls on the Pakistani authorities to release all political prisoners detained from the AAC-GB and related organizations immediately and to remove Eshan Ali Advocate’s name from the Fourth Schedule list.

Stand with us in solidarity with the people of Gilgit Baltistan. Sign this petition to demand justice and support the fight against political oppression. Every signature sends a clear message that the voices of the oppressed shall not be silenced. Workers globally have their eyes on what is happening in Gilgit-Baltistan.

We demand the immediate release of Ehsan Ali and all members of AAC-GB. We demand that the fabricated case brought against them be quashed.

We also demand the immediate removal of Ehsan Ali’s name from the notorious Fourth Schedule, and that his right to free movement be immediately restored. We demand an end to all restrictions on his political activities.

We also demand that all the demands of the AAC-GB be accepted immediately, especially the fourteen-point charter of demands to which the Gilgit Baltistan government has already agreed, but has delayed implementing.

We appeal to the workers of the world to support the just struggle of these comrades, the AAC-GB and the Inqalabi Communist Party, against the brutal oppression of Gilgit Baltistan, and for the overthrow of capitalism, which is at the root of this oppression. The comrades have made clear that they will not be stopped by state repression and brutality, and they will continue to fight injustice and oppression until the goal of socialist revolution is achieved.
