A direct access to Sohna town from the Gurgaon Sohna elevated highway existed in 2022 to 2023 but was suddenly closed without explanation

Today all traffic is forced through a narrow 2 lane slip road for about 4 km

- Daily jams

- Wrong side driving

- Safety risks for lakhs of residents

- This is not just inconvenience it is a design failure as Google links and 2022 Google photo show Sohna town access is the largest access / merger of 2 roads

Accountability

This road is under National Highways Authority of India NHAI specifically PIU Gurugram

- Why was an existing access closed

- Was any traffic study or safety audit done moving all Sohna town traffic to side road of 2 lanes.

- Daxin project launched just next to Toll plaza after the Sohna exit closure a possible sign of nexus with local politicians

- Were residents consulted 

- why the largest and smoothest entry and exit ( see photos) closed and we cant solve for design issues in Subhash chowk access - NHAI incompetence and / or corruption ?

 

Our DEMAND

Reopen Sohna access immediately.

Publish all reports and approvals related to closure earlier and any impact study done

Share accident and violation data on the side road.

Fix unsafe traffic conditions immediately

 

This affects lakhs of people every day. We need safe and fair infrastructure and good design of road and not adhoc closures.
