Social workers and cafcass workers currently have no official training on domestic abuse, yet all workers will come across this epidemic during their day to day work. This is absolutely shocking. Most admit that they have no real understanding of domestic abuse and coercive control within relationships and between parents and children. This should be a given. All staff that work with victims, survivors and perpetratorsmust attend the Freedom Programme created by Pat Caven to gain a full understanding of this insidious crime to gain a better understanding of how abusers work and hoodwink.
