The Social Security Administration needs to abolish the marriage rule, abolish the $2000 asset rule, increase the Threshold for all Social Security Disability Recipients, abolish the rule that social security recipients can’t redeem gambling winnings without getting penalized & abolish the rule where social security recipients have to pay back overpayments. It’s unfair how the rules of social security disability basically hurt the social security disability recipients to the point where they can’t work because they get penalized for that too when we live in a world where rent is ridiculously expensive along with groceries & everything else.Social Security recipients have to stay unmarried or lose their benefits which is outrageous because they deserve to be with the one that they love without penalty people aren’t loyal to the point where they can get tired of the person they’re married to after the social security disability recipient lose their benefits & has to do the process all over after divorce, they also can’t have more than $2000 in assets which why they can’t save up for an emergency like losing their job or any other emergency, the current thresholds for Social Security disability benefits are outdated & don’t take inflation & current cost of living into consideration, it’s completely unfair that social security disability recipients can’t claim their gambling winnings without being penalized, & it’s wrong for social security disability recipients to be forced to pay back the so called overpayments back to the social security administration. These rules are hurting social security recipients & keeping them poor & making them closer to becoming homeless. They just want to keep the recipients poor & dependent on the government which is ridiculous.
