Kape and Pan is an independent and family owned small business that has been a great addition to the SOAS community. Bringing craftsmanship, responsible sourcing and high quality coffee to the Senate House they offer a wide range of drinks and are a great alternative to high street brands. 

Not only does it taste great but their sourcing means some of the neediest regions benefit as well as students gaining extensive training that will help them in later life.

Whilst the action against outsourcing makes sense in political and economics terms when the students are getting a bad deal and a multinational is profiting at our expense (like it was under Bouygues) it makes little sense to remove something which benefits SOAS students and people around the world.

Instead of shutting Kape and Pan down SOAS should be promoting it like it deserves to be. 

We the undersigned call upon :
- SOAS Estates reconsider their decision regarding Kape and Pan with a view to assuring their place at the heart of the SOAS community is kept. 
- SOAS SU to support this small business given the popularity it has amongst the student body
