Our loved ones are at war with substance abuse and our current policies are not up to date to equip them to combat the problem. Our loved ones are not given the medication they need to abstain from illicit substances when entering penal institutions. This negligence precipitates withdrawal and relapse potential is very high and our loved ones could loose their lives. We are asking you to stand with us and sign this petition for our loved ones that are in outpatient treatment to receive methadone, "MAT" , which is medically-assisted treatment. This means they will receive their medication if they have to enter Bucks County Correctional Facility and not have to return to their opioid addiction when they are released.
