Hello, so I have been an avid Snapchat user since 2013. Snapchat is literally the main way that I use to communicate with people, more than phone & texts. And being someone that has anxiety & depression, it helps a lot. Its actually one of the only social media accounts I truly used. But to see that one day, all of that could be gone, without warning, was completely devastating. It makes no sense. I have been on the app for almost a decade, meaning I haven't done anything wrong in that long of a time to warrant my account being deleted and completely taken away from me. It was not fair. Especially since for example, apps like YouTube who literally pays people will give people a warning or a strike instead of completely wiping them from the system from the start. Why can't we get the courtesy to at least get a warning or something to know that we did something wrong. Also it was really wrong of them to never really give us notifications on when the terms & services would change, I honestly can't remember the last time snapchat gave me a warning on the new terms and services. On tiktok they put it right in front of your face so you can't even do anything without looking at them first. I just feel like it just wasn't right of Snapchat to delete us like that, its almost like they took away our lives doing this. Also, this is an app where only the people you know or allow to see your content, will see your content, I just also want to know how that played into my account getting deleted, when the company shouldn't see what I'm posting, as well as the fact there are people out here posting worse things and not getting in trouble for it whatsoever. Also, i care about this once agaib because Snapchat was kind of like my life, and honestly, after they had deleted me, ive been more sad than ever, and more suicidaI. It really killed me inside, i haven't felt right since then. Rightfully I feel like snapchat should give us our accounts back that were wrongly taken, and after that, they should implement a strike system, as well as a system where you should be able to dispute anything, like how YouTube does. Snapchat overall needs better support and a better respect for the people (US) who are the ones who make them successful. Without us, there would be no Snapchat, at least not successfully.
