Mirza Ghalib has been unanimously accepted as one of the greatest poets of Urdu and one who represented composite culture of India and was very liberal and secular and since the Government of India has widened to scope of Bharat Ratna to people of letters and sports one who represents Indian composite culture,liberalism and secularism and has enriched this culture through his creations deserves this Award most.
