The last few weeks have seen several news stories on parental leave from around the world make huge splashes! This update shares some of those stories - and requests you to add your voice in this ongoing campaign by completing this short survey today: https://bit.ly/2IvDhZ5

The good news:

1. Did you know #UNICEF has declared June #ParentingMonth? They are calling for paid parental leave for all parents - including fathers! Ambassadors include celebrities like David Beckham, Clarke Gayford (NZ Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern's partner) and even the Lego Foundation! https://twitter.com/UN_Women/status/1135022015218368513

2. Back home, #Zomato announced a truly progressive parental leave policy - 26 weeks for all parents, regardless of gender, around 13 countries! https://www.zomato.com/blog/parental-leave-policy

3. Banking giant #JPMorganChase settled a class action lawsuit and coughed up $5 million - because a group of male employees felt discriminated against, by their employer for not getting sufficient parental leave! https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2019/06/06/how-dads-lawsuit-against-jpmorgan-chase-could-lead-more-equal-parental-leave-elsewhere/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.13489535ffa9

As the news keeps coming - Diageo, Target, even countries around the world revising their parental leave laws - I am optimistic that the time is right for India to seriously consider similar changes!

And here is where YOU CAN HELP! Complete this survey https://bit.ly/2IvDhZ5 today (should take you 5-10 minutes at most) to shed light on what individuals like you and me really want, with respect to work and family policies in India. Share this link widely - and let us join forces to get our voices heard!!

The results of this survey will be used in a report I wish to share with the Decision Makers on this petition - Minister of Women and Child Development Smriti Irani and Labour Minister Santosh Gangwar.

Thank you for your support - and please keep the momentum going!
