Overtime rules and payment for Animation and VFX Artists

Overtime rules and payment for Animation and VFX Artists
The Issue
VFX and Animation is a growing field in India with heavy amounts of turn over. And it feels like slavery when you asked to work overtime without any money. It is a failure to the democracy that we have most of the jobs in VFX & Animation not willing to pay any of us for overtime.
Moreover most of the companies hire people on a contract/project basis. I think a minimum ratio for large scale companies should maintain a decent contract to permanent employee ratio.
There should be laws regarding maximum work timing per day/week, Minimum overtime percentage of the wage per hour calculation and a freelance/contract employee to permanent quota. Different ratios can be maintained from small to large scale companies.
All the artists share the common feeling of being a slave as there is not enough laws in the country to maintain their work-life balance. Hence, many prefer applying abroad for even less amount of money usually being paid over there, which is really sounds like "My country has no laws so ill work for you in a cheap price". Its becoming more like a slave market in India. Without any laws, money has obviously put a lot of stress over democracy . The system has to change to support the people, as it is by the people for the people.
