IGNOU B.ed for freshers/non deputy candidates

The Issue

The petition is to include B.ed Course for fresher category in distance learning mode.

Ignou graduates and post graduates are unable to do B.ED without 2 year experience in teaching anywhere.

Ignou B.ED course does not include its’ graduates and/or post graduates who are freshers or having no experience in teaching.

So where do Ignou graduates and post graduates freshers or having no experience in teaching do B.ed?

Schools are not hiring without B.ed.

Ignou [distance learning] graduates and post graduates are considered equivalent to those of other universities that provide [face to face] learning mode across nation.

But these other universities [face to face] have B.ed Course for both fresher and deputy. So why is there no B.ed Course for fresher in distance learning mode.

Universities [face to face] have seats for their own students in fresher category and only 1 or 2 seats for other universities per subject.

So where do Ignou graduates and post graduates freshers or having no experience in teaching do B.ed?

Total Seats allocated to B.ed course in Universities [face to face] cannot cater to the number of teachers required by our country. These Universities cannot embrace the educational needs of the growing population. Thus distance learning mode becomes very pertinent and it should have provision for fresher category too.

I have pursued MA in English from IGNOU. But No college under the University of my State has seats for distance learning. Each college hardly has 1 or 2 seats for other universities and Distance learning students hold no chance.

Youth tell me don’t you want B.ed course for fresher category in distance learning mode also specially IGNOU since it is pan India one.

Kindly Rise and support this petition and make the educational canvas more inclusive.
