Recently learned the sad news of a cardiac surgeon that died in 2017 as a result of a smoker that king hit him to the ground at the entrance of a Melbourne hospital he was working at. The surgeon had asked the man to stop smoking.

This very story is the unfortunate consequence our communities face for inaction and mismanagement in this space. The man was jailed for 10 years. His fist was his weapon.

Violence and addiction will never be an excuse for this behaviour. Take cigarettes away from these high risk locations.
