Ask Congress to make the Global Food Security Act the law of the land by passing S.1252, the Global Food Security Act. A very similar version of this bill (H.R. 1567) passed the House on April 12 by a vote of 370-33. 

Nearly 800 million people — including tens of millions of children — suffer from chronic hunger. In fact, hunger and malnutrition kill more people than HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined. The Global Food Security Act is a budget neutral bill that will produce a comprehensive strategy that demands effective and sustainable programs to tackle hunger and build on what we know works – including investments in women and smallholder farmers.
