Dear friends and neighbors, Our city government is betting against the odds that their plan will be better for Bakersfield. The odds aren't good. History has shown that a station location and designs like the F-St one fails to bring about the promised development and revitalization to nearby areas. Even if it did, do we really want the city council shifting the heart of our city away from its historical and cultural core and possibly cannibalize the residential and business redevelopment that is steadily happening in our downtown? The city is taking a big risk, and for what?
