Yelp has denied time and time again that they engage in extorting small businesses. Yet, when a small business refuses to advertise with them, they 'magically' find that the Yelp algorithm has chosen to remove good reviews, and allow only the bad ones to be counted toward their rating. This can lead to a company having twenty reviews, with 17 being five stars, and 3 less, and only those 3 being counted toward their rating. The result, is that the company's Yelp page (which the business owner cannot control) reflects the business in non-authentic negative light. Yelp denies advertising effects rating, but that is because to admit it would admit they are patently engaging in extortion! Sign this petition today to demand yelp allow ALL reviews, or at least confirm submissions, and stop forcing small businesses to purchase their advertising or risk having negative online reviews and losing business. Yelp is stifling small businesses on Main Street, so they can reap extorted profits for their executives on Wall Street. End Yelp's extortion today and sign!
