At a press conference on 17 June, Health Minister Greg Hunt declared that: 'there have been no people who have caught COVID in Australia and passed away'.

On 2 July, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said that lockdowns were to be a 'last resort'.

Since March 2020 lockdowns have forced tens of thousands of businesses to close, led to increased incidences of depression and suicide, especially among young people, and resulted in children losing a year of their education due to online learning.  In addition to the above, significant economic loss for all Australians including, but not limited to small businesses, large businesses, contractors and sole traders.

Given that the Politicians believe that a significant proportion of the Australian population are non essential workers and having regard to the fact that they continually harp 'that we are all in this together', we would like to see the Politicians take an 80% pay cut so we can stand united together.
