Easkey Community Council CLG are a private company who also registered as a charity in 2018.  This company uses public funding and purport to operate on behalf of the community of Easkey.  ECC CLG have consistently failed to consult with the community on development works.  In recent times there have been two separate, well attended public meetings where members of the local community have voiced their opposition to development works by this company in our village.  The most recent was on the 10th of December.  At that meeting many local people called for greater accountability and transparency.  They voiced their wish to be involved in and consulted on decisions regarding development work in the village.  Despite the community making this clear just 3 days later ECC CLG commenced building work in the community field with no consultation whatsoever.  We want all building works to stop until such a time as we, the community of Easkey have been properly consulted, informed and are in agreement with the nature and merits of these development works.
