Sky have announced they will NOT be making a second series of Jed Mercurio's excellent nail bitingly gripping medical drama Critical - one of the best TV shows this year.

This has to be the most stupidest move Sky has made. This was excellent drama, miles ahead of the tired Casualty and Holby City. Why are those shows allowed to limp on when this is cut down in its prime?

Jed Mercurio is one of the UK's finest TV scriptwriters with Line of Duty and previous medical dramas Bodies and Cardiac Arrest under his belt. TV networks should be happy to take whatever show he has and run and run with them, not cancel them after just one brilliant season! If Sky don't want it then please allow another channel to make the second series.
