A train station would allow Skelmersdale better links to other regions as well as make travel in and out of the town easier and cheaper. This provides further opportunities to find work outside of the small town, while also providing more jobs in Skelmersdale and allow young people more leverage when deciding which college/university to attend. Having a train station would also promote tourism in Skelmersdale, bringing more money into our economy to improve other local issues.
