This is important because the elephants are beaten with sticks and shocked as illustrated in the picture. Elephants are loving intelligent creatures who cannot speak for themselves. They should not be used as slave labor to make money for the Six Flags Amusement Park. I started this petition to create awareness of this, as Elephant Rides are presented to the public as fun and cute...a unique animal experience and I feel if the patrons of Six Flags knew that these gentle and sensitive animals are beating and shocked during routine husbandry and training by Have Trunk Will Travel they would NOT participate in such an uncivilized, abusive activity that supports the abuse of innocent elephants.
