No to "erasures are considered wrong" in schools

No to "erasures are considered wrong" in schools
The Issue
Us students of Tuguegarao City Science High School have started this petition to stop the rule of considering erasures as wrong mainly because of the idea that this gives us. Considering erasures wrong would mean that we wouldn't be allowed to make mistakes in this world, which is of course, not realistic. We all know we make mistakes and we learn because of them. Our mistakes in life are one of the things that shape us into the people who we are in the present. How are we going to learn when we are paying more attention to not having mistakes and then having to deal with doing the wrong thing when we know that it is incorrect?
Knowing the correct answers to the questions but not being able to change our past answers just because erasures are considered wrong are unfair. We know that it is incorrect yet we still can not fix it. How are we going to learn in life and be better as the humans of the next generation?
Mistakes and regrets in life are inevitable. Yes, this is one way made by teachers to avoid cheating, but there are many more other ways to avoid cheating and still be able to let the students answer what they think what is right.
If we stop this rule, students would have more freedom and this would lessen their anxiety during tests paying too much attention to the rule and redoing the entire test, hence saving the environment as well because we would be able to lessen the usage of ink and paper.
And, for a bigger perspective, this will trigger a movement for the young aspiring journalists who will have confidence to spread words and capture events while under pressure and threats.
