In 2004 Nic Korleski was assaulted by Sioux City Police Officer Thad Boyer.

Nic was pulled over and was driving without a license and was scared so he ran. After running for some time Nic realized he was wrong and stopped, got on his knees and put his hands behind his head.

The next thing Nic knew he was getting kicked in the face.

Nic woke up handcuffed to a gurney, his teeth missing and his face smashed up,

The Police Officer was forced to resign 3 years after the incident, in November 2019 he was hired back on the force.

Thad Boyer should not be allowed to be a Police Officer and should not have been rehired to protect and serve the community of Sioux City. He does not carry himself in a manner becoming of a person in a position of power.

As an Officer he has showed that he has no self control over his emotions. He has proven that he cannot handle stressful situations that are common in the field of Law Enforcement.

We as a Community and a City should hold our public servants to a hire standard.
