Illegal Online / SMS Moneylender Scammer.

This is happened 3/5/2020. to my friend family which I was involved. His Elder sister having a Mental Issue problem, accidentally accepted the fund of $800 in her bank account and was instructed to transfer out the fund, which she did, and after she was told to do more, if she refuse to do so, they will beat up the Nephew or Burn their house. So, my friend asked for help and I told him to Call 999, which they did, but they were told to make a Police Report in-person at HQ. His teenage Nephew was so panic that the moneylender might come anytime, as time was due for the transfer as instructed. So, I decided to help and drove to pick them to the Police Station. When I arrived, there were 6 guys loitering around and looking at their unit. Immediately I asked the Nephew to Call 999.

Here's the point; When Police arrived, I updated them on the situation, giving them the details of the suspects to carry out the check at the car park. After the check, the police officer said, they already issue a Summon to them for Breaking the CB regulation, but they will also have to charge me for breaking the CB as well. I was shock and wonder, is this what Police should do at such situation?

Conclusion:

Their main source / tools to run this illegal operation are Phone (Prepaid SIM card), Internet (Website and Social Media Advertising) which was claimed to be unregistered.

1. Those Prepaid SIM card suppose required a Identity to register, be it Singaporean or FIN. Indeed full Enforcement should be implemented.

2. Internet Security, IP Tracking might help to block these scammers advertising to broadcast online.

There are multiple solutions which require the relevant Authority to act upon with our Nation to "Fight Crime".
