A lot of pet owners traveling back to Singapore are facing the agony of being separated from their pets who have become part of their family. Many Singaporeans stationed overseas have decided to travel back to Singapore for good, as they have been separated from their extended families for years due to covid. However with the current pandemic situation, unforeseen cancellation of flights and limited number of quarantine spaces, many pet owners have to travel back while their furry members are stranded in foreign countries for months, waiting for available slots in the quarantine station back home. The complicating logistics, the heartache, and jaw-dropping cost involved are taking a toll on both owners and pets,  but they cannot be given up on! They are part of the family. We plead to the relevant department please increase the size of quarantine station so pets can travel back together with their family ( instead of waiting for months to travel alone as cargo ) or consider allowing those who proof to be responsible pet owners to quarantine their pets at home. We will accept terms set, like ensuring all required tests are done legitimately, all necessary vaccinations done and that they don’t travel out of their quarantine home. Please consider this humble request and you will have the gratitude of all pet lovers. God bless.
