There has been a renewed call by prominent figures recently to challenge and repeal the penal code section 377A in the light of the recent India's Supreme Court's decision on the same issue.

As a conservative society which values traditional family values, we like to reiterate our desire to keep the penal code to convey to our future generations that marriage act should only be an acceptable norm between a man and a woman.

By repealing the section 377A penal code, it would begin to normalize homosexual behaviours as a societal norm and lead to greater push for other LGBT rights in our conservative society as we have seen played out in other western societies today. (You may like to listen to a few real life examples cited by a PAP MP - Christopher De Souza in a parliamentary debate a few years ago) 

We do not think the vocal minority should impose their values and practice on the silent majority who are still largely conservative.  

Hence, if you among the silent majority, please sign this petition to support and reiterate our position to the Singapore government that we want the Penal Code 377A to stay.  Thank you for taking time to read this.

印度最高法院最近推翻当地第377条文，将同性恋合化法, 引起新加坡几位重要人物对此作出回应，鼓励民众挑战和废除刑事法典377A条文。。

新加坡社会奉行的是传统家庭价值观。我们要在此重申我们要保留这项条文的意愿，通过它来告诉我们的下一代， 唯有一男一女所组合的婚姻才是普遍被认可的婚姻。

一旦废除377A条文，也就开始把同性性行为正常化。这将在社会里推动其他的同志权利，正如我们今天在西方社会所看到的一般。废除377A只是少数群族积极呼吁的观点，不该硬加在沉默的大多数人身上。

因此，如果你是那保持缄默的大多数人，请你签名请愿来支持我们的立场，向新加坡政府重申我们要保留377A条文。感谢你花时间来阅读我们的请愿书。

Baru-baru ini ada tokoh-tokoh terkenal yang memulihkan kembali panggilan untuk mencabar dan memansuhkan Seksyen 377A oleh kerana keputusan Mahkamah Agung India baru-baru ini mengenai isu yang sama.

Sebagai masyarakat konservatif yang menghargai nilai-nilai keluarga secara tradisional, kami ingin mengulangi dasar keinginan kami untuk menjaga kod pidana tersebut dan menyampaikan kepada generasi berikut kami bahawa hanya perkahwinan antara lelaki dan wanita sahaja yang boleh menjadi norma yang dapat diterima.

Dengan memansuhkan Seksyen 377A, kegiatan-kegiatan homoseksual akan dinormalkan sebagai norma masyarakat dan membukakan dorongan hak-hak LGBT lain yang lebih besar dalam masyarakat kita yang konservatif, seperti yang kita lihat hari ini telah digunakan di negeri barat yang lain. Kami tidak setuju apabila kaum minoriti yang vokal harus memaksakan nilai dan amalan hidup mereka kepada kaum majoriti yang diam dan kebanyakan masih konservatif.

Oleh sebab itu, jika anda termasuk majoriti yang diam, sila menandatangani petisyen ini untuk menyokong dan mengulangi kedudukan kita kepada kerajaan Singapura bahawa kita mahu Seksyen 377A untuk tetap berlaku. Terima kasih anda telah mengambil masa untuk membaca ini.

மேற்கத்திய சமுதாயத்தின் உந்துதலின் காரணமாக, தண்டனை சட்டம் 377A விதிமுறைகளை மறுபரிசீலனை செய்வதன் மூலம், ஓரினச்சேர்க்கை நடத்தைகளை ஒரு சமூக நெறிமுறையாக ஒழுங்கமைக்கத் தொடங்கி விட்டால், அது நமது பாரம்பரிய சமுதாயத்தில் மற்ற LGBT உரிமைகளுக்கு மிகுந்த உந்துதலை ஏற்படுத்த கூடும். இந்த குரல் கொடுக்கின்ற சிறுபான்மையினர்(LGBT) தங்கள் கொள்கைகளையும் நடைமுறையையும் அமைதியாக இருக்கின்ற பெருபான்மையிரின் மீது புகுத்துவதை தவறு என்று நினைக்கின்றோம்.
