Simplifying the Transfer of At Risk Dogs from Iran to Canada

The Issue

In Iran, increasing restrictions and social pressures have put many dogs at serious risk of abuse, abandonment, and harm. Countless animals are suffering due to lack of protection, negative attitudes, and limited support systems.

Rescuers, veterinarians, and compassionate individuals are trying to save these vulnerable dogs by relocating them to safer environments such as Canada. However, the current process of transporting dogs from Iran to Canada is complex, costly, and filled with regulatory barriers. These challenges often prevent timely rescue and put the lives of these animals in further danger.

We, the undersigned, call on the Government of Canada to:

Simplify and streamline the process of transferring at-risk and abused dogs from Iran to Canada.
Reduce unnecessary bureaucratic and financial barriers that delay urgent rescue efforts.
Support animal welfare organizations and individuals involved in rescuing and rehoming these dogs.
Provide temporary shelter, veterinary care, and assistance upon arrival where needed.

As a veterinarian and a devoted dog lover, I have witnessed firsthand the deep bond between humans and animals. Dogs are not just pets—they are loyal companions who depend on us for safety, care, and love. Seeing them suffer from neglect and abuse is both heartbreaking and unacceptable.

If you believe that every dog deserves safety, compassion, and a chance at a better life, we urge you to support this cause. Your signature can help remove barriers, save lives, and give these innocent animals the future they deserve.
