Stop Leasing Retail Space to Puppy Stores

The Issue

Puppy stores primarily get their puppies from puppy mills.  These animals are breeding machines with no quality of life.  They are forced to live day in and day out in small cages and horrible conditions.  These offsprings are then sold in retail puppy stores.  They too are often sick and have latent illness to be later found after arriving home with their new unsuspecting owners.  Simon Property Group is parent company of Simon Malls  They are one of the largest companies in global retail.  Most recently a "retail" puppy store has opened in the Smith Haven Lake Grove NY location.  Animals are sick.  The owner of the store does not provide information on their origins and most likely they are pupp mill bred.  We ask Simon to take a stand for the community it sells to and stop leasing space to puppy stores as well as terminante the lease of American Dog Club.now.
