My name is Colby, I'm 17 years old, I have loved King of Prussia mall ever since I was a toddler, and specifically love when the holiday season comes to King of Prussia. A giant Christmas tree has graced the rotunda in front of nordstroms in the mall ever since I have been a baby. Coming to the mall for the first time the holiday season today which as I'm writing is November 7th, 2015, was quite peculiar. Why? I was met with no tree but a "Glacier" Holiday theme area that looks like it had a budget of $50. Skimpy leds hang from the ceiling and the fullness of the tree in the mall I have remembered, is gone this year. Coming home later that day, I found an article on Facebook about SouthPark Mall in North Carolina which is facing backlash after the installation of this same decor where their Christmas tree was supposed to be. After some research, I have found out that both malls are owned by Simon Properties which is based in Indianapolis, IN. It turns out that Simon properties are rolling out this new theme in a lot of their shopping malls to replace the grand Christmas trees of yesteryear. I'm calling for Simon to REMOVE and dispose of these glacier themed areas and to BRING BACK the Christmas trees to the millions that shop at any Simon property.
