Cleveland Police shoot dog.

Simon Nickless, Temporary Chief Constable of the Cleveland Constabulary to investigate fully the shooting of an abandoned German Shepherd type dog by his officers, reported in the article above.

The dog was reported as "Tied" to a telegraph pole in freezing weather and was not a risk to the public given the fact that it was "Tied up"

Reports that it was an unreasonable and unfounded possibility to re-homing at the scene are totally unreasonable and unfounded. Bearing in mind the conditions and abandonment of the animal, it is reasonable to assume that "aggressive" behavior was fear.

To take lethal action when animal professionals are aware of the incident is a total disgrace. The dog could have been tranquilized and managed by one of the hundreds of re-homing charities across the UK.

It looks on the outside that more than was believed to be the flow of life to this animals.

The dog deserved better consideration and treatment given that there were plenty of options.

Answer fully in the press why this decision was made and what consequences those in command of the scene will face. Given that the use of firearms will have given to you at high level answers must be given in the public interest.
