Roosevelt Field Mall, located in Garden City, New York and Simon Property Group, LLP have taken steps to abandon a long-standing tradition of having a Christmas tree & decorations on display, in the North Court area of the mall, where families & their children meet & take pictures with Santa Claus. The beautiful, festive tree & decorations have all been removed & replaced with a sterile, austere & pointless glacier set, that looks like something out of a science fiction movie. Our Long Island community, feels this is in poor taste and needs to be corrected. As the Christmas shopping season begins, we do not believe Simon Property Group wishes to lose shoppers & the business we bring to the mall, as a result of this change. We urge Roosevelt Field and Simon Property Group to bring back our tradition.
