REMOVAL OF VERSATIS PAIN PATCH FROM DRUG PAYMENT SCHEME & MEDICAL CARD SCHEMES

Versatis patches are used to treat chronic nerve pain & Chronic Pain conditions.

These have been removed for pain relief from Drug Payment Schemes and Medical card schemes.

They cost e5 each and some people may need to use several on different areas of their body to relieve pain daily. It could equate to the same price as a daily train ticket from cork to Dublin! Or €360 per month.

They are vital for people who cannot take pain relief, or people with liver problems who cannot take medications for pain relief as well as many other chronic pain conditions.

Simon Harris & Professor Barry have been instrumental in the process of removing these from the reach of people who suffer chronic long term pain without consultation with patients.
