Circumcision of healthy male infants is not recommended by any medical association in the world, including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association. In order to protect children from medically unncessary surgery, medical professionals and medical centers must stop offering to perform such surgery.

High Country Healthcare's Silverthorne Clinic (265 Tanglewood Lane, Suite E-1, Silverthorne, CO 80498) currently performs neonatal circumcision at parental request. This petition is to ask Silverthorne Clinic to stop performing circumcision.

Medical associations which do not recommend circumcision of healthy male children include the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association, the American Cancer Society, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Canadian Paediatric Society, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia, the Royal Australian College of Physicians, the Australian College of Paediatrics, the Australasian Association of Paediatric Surgeons, the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the British Medical Association, the Royal Dutch Medical Association, the Swedish Paediatric Society, and the Finnish Medical Association.
