For many years the youth of the Sikeston area used to marvel at the beauty and wonder of the BMU Power Plant star. The Star could be viewed from miles around. I am not sure if the Grinch stole the Star, but sometime ago they discontinued the tradition. Since the removal of the Star, there seems to be a decline of Christmas spirit in Sikeston.  Now it’s a dark and dreary time at Christmas in Sikeston. Please bring back the Christmas joy and wonderment. Please bring back the Christmas Star!
