Kalam Satyagraha: A peaceful signature campaign for the revival of the Trauma Center at Bikram.

Bikram is a block located about 30-35 km south of Patna Secretariat. Approx three national highways, one state highway and several connectivity roads pass through or near by Bikram. There is always a heavy traffic day and night on these roads. The "trauma center" we are talking about was built in 2002 and some necessary equipments and an ambulance were also issued for this center by the government of Bihar but due to government indifference and official negligence, the trauma center has not been started yet. Crores of hard earned money collected from the public in the form of various taxes have been invested in this trauma center, yet in the last 15-17 years thousands of people of this area have lost their lives and thousands of households have been been ruined due to unavailability of medical emergency services. This loss of human life and hope could have been avoided, had this trauma center been operational.
So we are running offline signature campaign in 3 to 4 blocks located near this trauma center. Now we very humbly request every one living in India and around the globe, who are concerned about saving human life, to sign this petition and raise their voices in support of this peaceful movement, so that loss of precious human life merely due to unavailability of medical emergency services in the region could be avoided.

Dear Friends, please do remember one thing that with your initiative and support, it is possible. Your voices in the form of online signatures will make the offline signature campaign being run by the local people more effective.

After collecting and compiling your signature, both offline and online, we are planning to submit an application to the Chief Minister of the state, the Health Minister of the state and the Center and all the concerned government officials by mid or end of April. The application to the government and the concerned authorities would be submitted by a team of local women volunteers from villages located around Bikram.
