The Issue
The people of Missouri are under attack by politicians in Jefferson City. Amendment 4, which all Missourians will vote on on November 8th, would allow the Missouri legislature to pass legislation requiring Kansas City to increase its minimum required police budget from 20% to 25% using tax dollars. A statutory mandate controlling police funding deprives the community of the ability to develop and implement its own public safety plans, and sets a precedent for state control throughout Missouri. We urge all Missouri voters to join the movement to vote "NO" on Amendment 4 in order to make their state safer. A 'NO' vote on Amendment 4 means a safer Kansas City in which residents have a say in policing and public safety. A 'NO' vote on Amendment 4 means a safer Missouri where all Missourians' rights are protected. Our community matters, and your vote counts.
