School is about to begin and the delta COVID variant is spreading quickly. Texas Governor Greg Abbott has made it illegal for schools to enforce mask mandates. Children 11 years and under are not yet eligible for the COVID vaccine, putting them at high risk for illness. We must require masks in schools this fall to protect our children against the new COVID variants.
