7/1/24 UPDATE:
Although the previous update about Jesse’s increased prison sentence remains to be true, Jesse is still ‘up for parole’ in 2025 and 2026. In 2025 he is slated to have another parole hearing for my mother’s murder. In 2026 he will have a suitability hearing for the criminal threat against me he executed in 2021 and was charged with in 2023. From what I understand, he will not begin serving the 30 years for the attempted murder of the correctional officer until he is paroled for my mother’s murder.
No matter whether he can be released or not, the insecurity of navigating the system as a victim and the trauma of having to see him every couple years despite his continued violence, is deeply triggering. His death threat still looms over my head too. I have little faith in the system as of now, and as a result, have re-opened my petition. I want as much support going in to these hearings as possible.
I will be speaking at every parole hearing in the future, and I would appreciate every signature along the way. Please join me in bringing justice and peace to my family.
