This is a plea from the heart, ignited by a brutal incident in our neighborhood that left one of our precious ducks dead. The pain and anger we feel are unbearable, but they push us to seek justice not just for this little one but to prevent future cruelty. About two years ago, a family moved into our neighborhood, and recently, one of them intentionally ran over our duckling. This act was caught on a neighbor's ring camera—clear evidence of malicious intent.

The loss is not just mine; it’s a loss felt by our entire community. I often wonder what justice looks like in moments like this and how we can protect our beloved animals from such heartless acts. We fear retaliation and for the safety of the remaining ducks and other neighborhood animals. We feel helpless and overwhelmed, knowing our action has to be cautious yet bold.
