The suspect, MICHAEL TALBOT, 24, was taken into custody at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, January 5 in Collier County, Fla., where he was visiting family. 

An arrest warrant application for the vehicle operator, Michael Talbot, was completed by Officers Kerilyn Whitehead and Lindsey Yanicky and signed by Stamford Superior Court Judge Hudock on Wednesday January 4, 2023.

The warrant carries the following charges:
2 counts of Manslaughter 2nd degree
2 counts of Manslaughter 2nd degree with a motor vehicle
2 counts of Felony Evading Responsibility
Operating Under the influence
Reckless Operation
The warrant also carries a one million dollar court set bond.

Stamford police confirmed Talbot has previously been convicted of several driving offenses... include reckless driving and evasion of responsibility in operation of a motor vehicle involved in an accident causing property damage.

Talbot has been in custody in Florida and will be extradited back to Stamford in the coming days.
