We are excited to update you on a handful of developments in our effort to forge a path for fan ownership in the MLB team being recruited to Portland, OR.
1) We are excited to share that our website is now LIVE!
This is a big development that's been a long time in the making. Come see our game plan for fan ownership in MLB PDX, meet the team behind the effort, and sign up for updates on our progress.
Many of you contributed fan pictures - thank you! That really helps our site shine as we show the faces of real baseball fans everywhere who want a stake in the game. Now you can see your beautiful faces on our site!
Note: The email "sign up" is very important. While we LOVE our petition site and appreciate it bringing life to our idea, Change.org does not give us access to your email address. And because Change.org makes you opt-in to ALL their messages to get updates, we've found that many petition signers have opted-out. This makes it hard for us to stay in touch and build our relationship with you! So please, take a second and join our email list on the website for the best updates going forward.
2) We continue to advance the conversation with Portland Diamond Project.
We've now had three meetings with PDP leaders, and overall its going really well. They are impressed with our idea, our creativity, and our commitment to keep grinding away at our work behind the scenes.
As you can imagine, this relationship is vitally important to our success, and we are being careful to nurture it just right. This takes patience and time, and that's ok. Our aim is to use this gift of time to build our community wide and far, so that when the real work begins, our partnership with PDP will be solid and our community too big to ignore!
3) We need your help to keep our movement growing.
Our core team is a small-but-mighty 4-person team who meets regularly. As with many 100% volunteer efforts, we are only limited by our own capacity. We are actively looking to build out our team of volunteers who contribute in many ways.
