I am excited to share we had another great strategy meeting in early July with two BIG developments:
- Articles of incorporation were started for a non-profit to organize this effort, and
- We decided on our group's name! Here's how it happened...
We aim to bring MLB to the people of Portland. And we aim to do this in partnership with the amazing work being led by the Portland Diamond Project. Put the two together, and the magic just happens:

Right now the site redirects back to this petition, but in time (and with the help of the right volunteer skills...yours?) we will host a freestanding site that will make the clear case why the people of Oregon, SW Washington and beyond should have the ability to be owners in MLB in PDX.

This call is open to any individual who is interested in putting ACTIVE effort toward driving this campaign to success.
By "active" effort I mean things like: website design, strategy creation, stakeholder recruitment, offering business/legal advice, fundraising, getting signatures, etc.
We continue to appreciate ALL interest in this campaign, however at this stage we still need to create a core team of individuals committed to volunteering time and energy to getting this effort off the ground.
