The Issue

Living in Connecticut's 105th District, you've likely heard about the massive data center proposed for Beacon Falls. Like many of us, you might be wondering about the impact this will have on our local environment. The Naugatuck River is already facing challenges, and we need to question what further harm this development could bring. What are the plans to protect our environment from potential damage? These are concerns that need immediate attention.

Adding to the worry, we're unsure how the data center might affect our daily lives. Specifically, how will it impact our electricity bills? There’s a serious risk they could skyrocket as the data center consumes energy unrestrictedly. This isn't just a minor inconvenience; it’s a potential financial burden for Beacon Falls residents. We cannot sit back without a plan to manage these impacts effectively.

More crucially, why haven't we heard from State Rep. Nicole Klarides-Ditria on this issue? Her silence since the bill was passed is deeply concerning. We deserve a representative who actively voices our concerns and works towards solutions that best serve our community. Although others in our area, like Josh James, are speaking up, our elected officials owe us transparency and action.

As residents, it's our duty to stand up for the environment we cherish and the financial well-being of our community. We must demand comprehensive evaluations and clear communication before any irreversible steps are taken. Our voices matter, and we must ensure they are heard.

Join us in calling for a halt to the Beacon Falls data center project until these issues are addressed. Sign this petition to demand action from our representatives. Together, let's protect our community and environment.
