As powerless as so many hill tribes are along the Thai/Lao/Burma border none are victimized moreso than the Karen Tribe.  Burmese Junta soldiers invade rural villages of the Karen Tribe and SLAUGHTER entire families while often saving children(Mostly little girls) to be sold as sexual slaves or/and raped by soldiers and generals.  The United Nations at the present time is not really doing anything to stop this evil government from torturing its people.  So the KTLA (Karen Tribe Liberation Army) doesn't have any real support from outside groups to help them protect there own homes and children from the vicious acts of genocide.  Funding money for weapons is usually financed by the illegal wild life/drug/child trafficking which produces the most money money in the shortest period of time for these freedom fighters.  My group has tried various methods to implement other ways to raise money like door to door sales of hand made crafts, Online charity drives, fund-raising concerts, etc.  We must all unite and put an end to these horrific crimes!
